| You may donate books for the libraries and money to ship them to Ghana. Donating Books to the Library Project after April 1st 2008 The Library Project accepts books for every reading level from preschool through college, both paperback and hardback. We receive them at our warehouse in Copley, Ohio. Please click here for the shipping and drop off address and for more information on the kind of books we accept. Donating money for shipping the books The shipment of over 33,000 books to Ghana each year is the single largest expense of the project. We personally guide the shipment through the port of Ghana, and then hire a tractor trailer to take the container to the warehouse. All of these expenses are part of the shipping costs. Other costs are incurred preparing the books for the libraries and traveling to the sites to help the local communities set up the libraries. Aside from the librarians in Ghana who oversee the main library and warehouse, no one receives a salary. Make checks payable to: Books For Africa Library Project (donations are tax deductible) Donations of $25, $35, $50, $100 or more would greatly help with the cost of the shipping and opening of the libraries. Mail all donations to: Books For Africa Library Project, P.O. Box 4049, Copley, OH 44321 USA
